The Wanderlust Series: Botswana

Crowned the Best Destination in Africa many times, Botswana is renowned worldwide for its incredible wildlife, luxurious lodgings and supreme experiences.

“While many southern African countries monetized the safari as an economy of scale, Botswana leaned into exclusivity instead of volume, championing singular, upmarket experiences for the few instead of midrange camps for the many. The strategy paid off as the peaceful nation has garnered an international reputation for its roaring population of wildlife versus a small huddle of tourists”
– Harper’s Bazaar, 30 December 2019

Along with this strategy, Botswana’s strong, sustainable and responsible tourism initiatives form an integral part of each safari lodge and camp’s investment into community empowerment, wildlife conservation and ecosystem protection.

Botswana is open and ready and has just been added to the UK Travel Corridor! We are ready to welcome you – see below how, when, where and why you need to come!

The Best Time to Visit Botswana:

June to November: Dry winter months from late June to October before the rains start in November (this is Peak Season so be sure to book early!) Secret Season is just after the rains from about March/April and is great for photographic opportunities when predators are most active.
