DAYS 1-4
The journey begins with four days in the exceptionally scenic city of Cape Town, staying at the unique Silo Hotel. Resting at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, sandwiched between the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain and the glistening sapphire waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is in a class of its own. Highlights of your days include privately guided city and local art and culture tours, exclusive gourmet picnic at a top wine estate, plus a spectacular helicopter ride to one of two of the Cape’s best restaurants. These include the multi-award winning Wolfgat Restaurant in Paternoster which offers a truly unique dining experience that showcases a selection of indigenous ingredients specific to the local coastal location, or La Petite Colombe in Franschhoek that fuses contemporary cuisine with local ingredients with a French Flair, PLUS a private wine tasting.
DAYS 5 – 7
Leaving South Africa behind, your journey now takes you to the famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, just under 3 hours away by direct flight. From the jet, you will be escorted to the awaiting helicopters for a thrilling 25 minute air-borne transfer. Flying over the iconic Falls en route to Matetsi Victoria Falls, an exclusive and privately owned lodge located on a quiet stretch of the Zambezi River. Settle in for a 3-night stay of absolute relaxation as well as a host of activities including a slow and soul-enriching sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River, a tranquil guided canoe safari, exclusive game drives and guided safari walks on the private concession. Another wonderful excursion includes a privately guided Tour of the Falls and Afternoon Tea at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel overlooking the gorge below. Dine on sumptuous cuisines at different and magical locations each day, including a vibrant African boma-dinner under the star-studded African skies!
DAYS 8 – 11
Today it’s further north you head, to Tanzania! After a smooth 2 hour 40 minute flight from Victoria Falls, your jet will deliver you to Mwanza Airport where, after clearing immigration, you will be transferred by light aircraft (40 minute flight) to the Sasakwa Airstrip in the Singita Grumeti Reserve, Tanzania. From the airstrip, it’s at least a 40 minute game drive (possibly longer depending on sightings en route!) to the beautiful Singita Sabora Tented Camp for a 4-night stay. Enthralling daily game drives and exhilarating guided walking safaris await you each day as you join the expert game rangers for incredible encounters with the wildlife. Another highlight of your stay includes a visit to the Anti-Poaching Observation Post to meet the Singita Grumeti Fund Game Scouts and learn the important work they do in combatting and preventing poaching. Also, you will visit a local community which is supported by the Grumeti Fund Community Outreach Program.
DAYS 12 – 14
After re-uniting with your pilots and jet at Mwanza, you’ll be whisked off to the last destination of your African journey: Rwanda. In under 1 hour, land at Kigali Airport and clear immigration before meeting ground staff who will escort you to the awaiting helicopters. A quick 25 minute flight across the country takes you to the exquisite Singita Kwitonda Lodge, located right near the Volcanoes National Park, home to the famous silver-backed Mountain Gorillas. Spend your last 3 nights immersed in this truly iconic location.
Highlights include the deeply transformative experience of trekking mountain gorillas deep in the forest, an immersive encounter with golden monkeys, extraordinary photographic opportunities as well as a stroll around Akarabo Nursery and its lush diversity of plants as part of Singita’s reforestation efforts.
DAYS 15
And so, your Finest Africa adventure has drawn to a close, but not without having gathered some wonderful, exciting and life changing experiences along the way.
Pack up again after breakfast, say your last fond farewells to the Singita Family at Kwitonda before boarding the awaiting helicopters for your 25 minute helicopter transfer back to Kigali International Airport. Check in for your onward flight homeward bound – or perhaps continue with an additional leg to new and exciting destinations either in Africa or beyond.
